Welcome everyone!
Please feel free to post as often as you would like. Even if it is just to say hello to him and let him know you are thinking about him. You can also just tell him about your day, or even interesting things going on in the news. Anything that can help him feel a little more connected with us. LOVE you all bunches!

Just wanted to tell you how proud I am of you. I'm sure I'll post on here a ton while you are gone, so for the first one....just know how much I love ya buddy.
ReplyDeleteI have thought about you every day since you have been gone. I am so proud of you, but it's hard not to be able to pick up the phone and text you about something. You are in my every prayer! I promise to keep Chris and Cale busy while you are away. We are already planning a "sisters" night out. We will send you pics! I hope things are better than you expected. Can't wait to get your address! I love you big brother!!
ReplyDeleteOh yeah - Sam is teething so I would probably trade places with you for a few days!!
ReplyDeleteHey cuz! Matt and I are praying for you and think about you a lot! We are very proud of what you have decided to do and admire your bravery. Your one strong man with awesome heart! We are excited to be able to send you some love! I'll be checking in on Chris for you and of course to make you feel at home we will for sure get on and let you know when Macey is born!
ReplyDeleteBubba! Hope all is well so far :). Bryson and I have been thinking about you a lot. I wonder what you're doing . . . Bryson says running, lol. Can't wait to hear from you!
ReplyDeleteYou haven't missed out on anything here so far. Except for more crazy weather. It's back down to 40 degrees today with a "chance" of flurries tonight. That's Tennessee for ya.
Well Easter's coming up this week. We will definitely be missing and thinking of you then. Maybe we can post pics of Cale hunting eggs on here for you to see.
Love you so much! Proud of my Bubba. XOXO
Love Leah Beth
Bless you, Jacob and your family. Anything I can do for your family while you are away, I will be happy to. Thanking you each day..Mary (Bryson's mom)
ReplyDeleteHey Bubba! Not too much more going on here. Sam is really teething. Runny nose, lots of dirty diapers, crying, restless nights, etc... But Jameson is home with him all day so I only get it at night! Jameson goes to apply for a job in person tomorrow so maybe something will happen!! I am teaching Audrey sign language. It's really fun. I have to use it with a bunch of my kids at school so I am picking it up pretty fast. I hope to one day be fluent in it. If that's the word you use!! Jackson is starting karate. He didn't get to go this week because he has been in trouble every day at school. I don't know what to do with him. I have taken everything away from him. He just can't stop talking!! I am about to get all the kids pictures made so I will send you one ASAP. We have a "sisters" night planned for April 24th, and are so excited about it. We are still throwing around ideas. Hope you are well. We love and miss you!!
ReplyDeleteHey Bubba! Here are some messages from old friends!!
ReplyDeleteJacob, We are so proud of you and are praying for you during this time you are away from your family and extended family. I remember many special times when you were "little"--may God continue to hold you in His arms and surround you with His angels.

Bless you, Jacob and your family. I know decisions are difficult to make but a person has to do what they think is the best thing in their heart. Anything I can do for your family while you are away, I will be happy to. Thanking you each day..Mary (Bryson's mom)

Jacob!!!!!!!I can't believe the little boy I use to babysit, or kidsit, has grown up enough to go to the army! I am so proud of the man you have become! You always had something special inside you! I am very proud of you and want to thank you for fighting for mine and my daughters freedom! I will pray for you all the time! Love you! Jodie
ReplyDeleteWe got an address for you today, YAY!!!! Lots of love from home will be coming your way soon. I know Chris was thrilled to get to hear from you twice now. And we are all happy to hear you are there and safe. I heard about all the new jobs Christine has gotten just in the past few days. Everybody's holding up their promise to keep her busy for ya :).
ReplyDeleteI also heard you got to fly over in "a pie"!LoL. So cool, I'm sure you were thankful for that. That Cale man sure misses you. We are going to take some good Easter pictures with him and send them your way. I have some "talking" to do with him too on Sunday. Audrey was fully saying my name last night over and over again so he's going to have to step it up now. We can't let a girl beat him, ya know?! Love my precious babies.
A little update on some news buzz, it really did snow this week! So crazy. And yesterday at the Masters Dan Miller had a heart attack and died :( He was the news anchor on Channel 4. So when you come home ol' Demetria will have a new "partner".
Love you so much! Thank you for your volunteering spirit. Miss you, XOXO
"Bye!. . . .cycle" haha
Elbie
Hi Son, Iam so glad to hear that you are doing ok. Now that we have an address I will be sending you cards and letters filled with love, hugs and kisses!!! Like I told you the day you left, Iam so proud of the man that you have become. I know that the situation when you were younger between your Dad and me really affected your growing up time but I am overwhelmed with emotions to know that it helped to make you the stronger person that you are today. Everything happens for a reason and in your situation you chose to rise above it and be a better person. You have always been such a caring person, even as a small child you always had a heart of gold and I always knew God would use you to accomplish something great. Thank you so much for what you are doing and the sacrifices you have made, and are going to make. You are the BEST son anyone Mom could ever wish for!!! Love, Mom aka(Noni)
ReplyDeleteHey sweetie!! Hope your wek is going great. Mine has been hectic. Giving the TCAP test at school so it's is crazy schedule. And I am finishing up my finals for the semester. Audrey and Sam started school today. They have a preschool for all the teachers kids so they now go to it. It's going to be really good for Audrey. Sam is taking a breathing treatment every 4 hours now. He takes an inhaler and a steroid. Hopefully it will help. I love ya lots and hope to see you in June!! I plan to be there. I doubt I will take the kids. I would like to have a little time off by myself!!! Love ya lots!!
ReplyDeleteCale got a Kite in his easter basket. While we where at C&J's house today I took him outside and tried to fly it. WOW was I horrible. And it was a windy day so it should have been easy. I told Cale "i'm not to good at this, maybe we should get someone else to teach you how to fly a kite," without skipping a beat he said " OH... Dada help, Dada help me" I told him that was a great idea. So he will be thrilled to really see what kite is supposed to do. Instead out me running with it dragging on the ground behind me. I think we was a little sad about how UNfun I made it. haha
ReplyDeleteWe pray over you every night. He prays that"Dada's work is safe" and i pray that you are not missing us to much and that you are enjoying some of what you are learning.
We love you!
google says you are having great weather today. We are too! Wish we could enjoy it together! I've been shopping for the luncheon I am catering tommorrow. God has definitely kept me busy. We love you!
ReplyDeleteHow's it going?! I hope you are recieving the letters I have sent so far. And if you have I hope they don't bore you, lol. I think we have finally gotten into real spring time weather this week, it has been beautiful! This weekend is going to be sunny and in the 80's, I can't wait! Hot weather might not be so great for you though in all your gear, huh? This weekend is our Sister's Night Out, I'm so excited! We are going to Franklin for dinner and then Chris has checked out some venues with live music for us to go to afterwards.
ReplyDeleteWell we are still missing and praying for you everyday!I hope you are learning a lot and enjoying as much as you can. I am forever greatful and amazed by your scarifices. Thank you for fighting for me and the life of freedom I know. Love you so much! XOXO

HEY JAKE!! Whats new? I am just sitting here at work right now not doing much. We are actually slow at the moment but I am sure it will pick up soon. Hope you are doing well and things are going as well as expected. Sorry I am just now writing to you. I am bad when it comes to writing a letter or an email. Just ask Rob. lol. He was always fussing at me for not writing to him enough since he has been away. Not that I don't want to or anything, just get preoccupied with other stuff and I know thats bad. He is actually getting to come home next week. Sure do hope things will be better for him and me!! Anyway, we sure do miss you and can't wait to see you in June. I am actually getting to take off with your mom and come with everyone!! I am excited. I was afraid Dr. Pino may not let me and your mom be off together, but he was just fine with it. I was going to be sad, but it would have been okay because I would definitely want your mom there. I guess I have talked enough for now, but will be talking to you again soon. Take care. Love ya!!
ReplyDeleteHey cuz! Heard your getting another round of letters tomorrow so I wanted to make sure and jump on before they were mailed!
ReplyDeleteWe are so proud of you and continue to pray! I hope you are enjoying it and learning a lot. Your already such a strong man, but I'm sure this will only make you stronger. Ya know.... I could never give up my life for the army (our country). Honestly, I could not do it. I can't tell you how much I admire you and your strength. We need more men like you! Thank you for your heart.
Macey is only 6 weeks away from being born (if she goes full term). We are running around like chickens with our heads cut off thinking she could come any minute. I'm sure you remember those days! New parents.... scared, excited, LOST!! I'm exhausted and taking days off here and there to relieve pain and keep going without high blood pressure! So, that's our life!!
We love you and can't wait for your safe return! May God bless you and keep you close!
-Matt, Mandy, & Macey-
Hello darlin'!! Hope your week has gone well. Mine has been a crazy week. Even for me! My special ed preschoolers have thrown shoes at me, kicked me, and called me an ugly b****!! Can you believe it? Then Jack was brought back from a field trip for fighting. He is not in trouble with me though because I talked to all involved and he was just defending himself. Can't let my little man take anything off anybody!! But it was still stressful. Then he rammed his bike into Jameson's truck and left 3 huge gashes in the side. So it's one thing after another!! But we are all healthy and have our needs so I am not complaining. We have our first of many "Sisters Night Out" this Saturday. It's going to be a blast. I am coming to graduation! Without the kids though. That would be too hard. And it will be nice to have a little break! I love you and have everyone at school praying for ya! You are in my every thought and prayer!! Ove ya lots - Hannah
ReplyDeletejacob just wanted to say whats up and and tell you thanks for what your doing over there. Just so you know the turkeys are in full strut right now. But i cant seem to kill any of them. guess i suck. but anyway just wanted to say whats up. And if you dont mind. Do some push ups and run a mile or two for me.
ReplyDeleteHey buddy! Hope all is going well! Busy here as usual. Finally got some great weather. Going tomorrow to float and fish the Buffalo with the Sheriff, several of our command staff members, several judges and local lawyers. Should be a blast! I was in Augusta for one day of the Masters, only 70 miles from Fort Jackson. Seemed like I should have been able to drive on over and say hi! Bruce and I went to Priest last week. We saw 1 fox, 4 coyotes, 1 tom (he gobbled at us for hours),1 hen, dozens of ducks and geese, caught over 14 largemouth (mostly short fish), 2 whites, one hybrid, and a huge alligator gar (what a wierd fish!). Quite a day of enjoying all of God's creation! I get to keep Cale and Audrey on Saturday while all the girls go out. I'm pumped! You are in my thoughts and prayers daily. I miss being able to pick up the phone and call. Lots of people ask me about you regularly and are praying for you also. I am very proud of you. Not just for this, but just for being the man you are! Hang in and be God's!!! P.S. In Bryson's blog, he said "guess i suck". I want to affirm that he does!!Ha!
ReplyDeleteThe best part of my week was your phone call today! It really lifted my spirits! I am so proud of you!!! Take care of that Ole' body of your :-)
ReplyDeleteWe love you!
I got your first letter this weekend! It was sooo good to hear from you! I loved the run down of your day, now when I'm thinking/praying for you I have an idea of what you are doing at that exact moment.
ReplyDeleteSaturday was Sister's Night Out, we had a blast! The most any of us had laughed in a while. I sent Chris some pics of our evening that I know she is sending you and I'll be writing you a letter soon to tell you some details, as I'm sure Hannah and Chris will as well. It will probably be amusing to you to read all our different point of views and stories, lol. It was great, we already have an idea for our next adventure out.
Hope all is well. Love you and miss you always!
Leah Beth
We are settling in to a new routine. I ordered some buttons for everyone to have. They say "I love my soldier!". Your mom, dad, and sisters are all getting them and of course Cale and me too. We want to world to know how much we love you and how proud we are! May is shaping up to busy. James Graduation and party, Cale's school party and teacher appreciation breakfast, Maybe going to Austin for Megan's graduation, work, work, work, and of course our anniversary! Don't worry your sisters are going to take me out in your honor.....aren't they sweet? I hope you are getting all our letters...we love you so so much!
ReplyDeleteSo, it's been raining here for 5 days solid now with no plans of stopping anytime soon. It's refreshing in a way but enoughs enough already, lol. We actually went camping in it this weekend at 7 Points. The water rose 2-3 feet within the 24 hours we were there. It was at the foot of our campsite when we left Sunday morning and the rain came alllll day and night after that. No telling what it's like now. Oh and the fish were "bedding down" in the shallow part right in front of us. They were jumping around everywhere! It was crazy, you could just stab them with a stick to catch them (which Bryson was dying to do, but we wouldn't let him).
ReplyDeleteHopefully you've recieved my exciting news about hygiene school by now :) hehehe. I am SO excited! I'm suppose to be recieving my packet today so my next letter should have more informaton for you.
Only 44 more days till we get to hug you!!! Love you, xoxoxox!

I got letters today!!! I needed to get letters to make it through this week! Cale even knows which envelopes come from you, he says "Oh woook, its a Dada wetter." We miss you more everyday. The whole" it gets easier" thing is crap, but it does get closer to you coming home! The count down has begun! We love you!!!!
ReplyDeleteOK so i am thinking about a Vacation this summer and I want to know your thoughts on it. Cale hasn't seen the beach (that he remembers) so maybe the beach would be fun. There is a chance that we can go to Kiawa after graduation if you are interested. Mom says there is a place we can stay. I wasn't sure if you would want to come home instead though.
ReplyDeleteYou can tell I have turned the corner. I am finally able to think about when you will be home!!! YEAH!!! it is getting closer! Every time I think about it I smile...I am smiling now :) I love you so so so much!
Only 29 days till we are at Fort Jackson!!!!! Mom was booking our hotel room today :). Chris said we needed to book one outside the base first b/c hotels inside the base will not let you reserve a room untill 10 days ahead of time. I'll sleep in the car if I have to. I can't wait to see you!
ReplyDeleteI got to love on Cale man last Friday. He wanted to be in all the pictures with everyone as a group but he wouldn't let me take his individual picture unless I said, "Smile for Da!" Can't wait to see his expression when he sees you.
Love you so much! Miss you, but will see you SOON :)
Leah Beth
